Okay wow, so.

1) I got accepted into SCAD! Still have to work out scholarships/loans/grants, but it's pretty assured I'll be going in the fall.
2) I have the feeling that my entire flist is going to be informing me for the next three weeks about Michael Jackson's death. I maintain that he won't really be gone until we decapitate the corpse, stuff his mouth with garlic, and bury him at a crossroads.
3) I won a sweepstakes drawing?? Haley and I totally just entered because what the hell, but apparently mom and I have got a roundtrip/luxury hotel to Vegas or Reno or another one I don't remember if we sit through 30 minutes of them trying to sell stuff and promise to try and get our friends/family members interested too.
I must have sounded so skeptical when the lady called to tell me I'd won. I was just waiting for a catch, I knew it was there somewhere. :|
4) The roadtrip to California with Haley and Zac is 75% possible!
5) holy crap theoregontrail got a lot of attention. jeez.

God, what if I'm living in Georgia in three months? That would be so ridiculously exciting. I started to fill out my application to SCAD last night and then called it off because I'm not quite ready to send them all my stuff, and they sent me this email going WE'RE SO EXCITED TO HAVE YOU APPLYING BUT YOU FORGOT TO PAY US MONIEESSS and I was like oh god *_*

It's totally a possibility. A major one, I hope.

I'm also putting in an application to be an intern at Periscope, a local Portland comic artist group. Unpaid, but how could would that be? I put together a portfolio of all my stuff I think comic artists would be interested in, redid my resume, and got the okay from one of my teachers from last term to use him as a reference.

I've never felt this motivated before to do college/potential job stuff, I think that means I found the field I really want to aim for.

OH GOD I FINALLY FINALLY FINISHED MY ART BLOG FOR MY DIGITAL ART CLASS. That was a lot of tutorials to read. 50 is, indeed, a large number. Having to do 10 of them was intimidating when I was scouring dA, because all people have there for tutorials are "SPEND 5 HOURS COLORING LIKE I DO :DDD" and if you have to do 10 of those? You might die.

But then I realized my classmates were all, by comparison, underachievers, and things got easier when I started ganking their tutorials.


I learned how to make custom brushes! It was a lot easier than I thought.

I also had the genius idea of putting a bee on a leash today! I captured it, stuck it in the freezer to get it in hibernate mode, then grabbed some dental floss. But then as I was trying to lasso its sleeping butt, I started to wonder how I would actually get it off of its leash again. I could freeze it again and try to untie it...? But that combined with the fact that it's really HARD to tie floss around a bee's butt made me decide to just watch it come back to life and stumble away through the air. IT WAS SO CUTE. I LOVE BUMBLEFUCKS.

I also made a whole buttload more icons for the creeper! Going to need a paid account for that creepy asshole if I can't stop coloring creepy faces!

Akon was good. Toast and Jason were awesome. Alex and Amanda too. I met another Jan! He turned creepy by the end of the first day (how in character), so I spent the next two ignoring him. I also met an Usopp! He remains uncreepy.

I can't find any pictures of the Hellsing photoshoot, BUT MY SEARCH CONTINUES.
